    Abstract

Social networks are a key ecosystem for science communication, as well as for media and scientific literacy. This research analyzes the usefulness of threads in X for dissemination and research, involving teachers and students of higher education. Using an empirical-inductive approach and a non-experimental-descriptive design, a 17-item questionnaire (α = 0.7) was administered to 302 subjects (194 students and 108 academic professionals). The findings highlight X as a valuable tool and the importance of diversifying strategies for rigorous content curation.
