Abstract
International student mobility strengthens both universities and the knowledge society. This study aims to analyse the scientific output regarding student academic mobility. Methodologically, it is a bibliometric investigation that uses an equation based on the keywords "International student mobility" and "higher education." The search was conducted in the Scopus index, from which 134 documents were selected. The analysis categories included the frequency of publications per year, the number of citations, the countries producing the on the topic, and keywords. This study shows sustained growth in publications on the topic starting from 2019, as well as shifts in most mobility patterns and authors' concerns about how the political landscape affects mobility conditions. Among the top ten countries with the most production, none are from Latin America, with the United Kingdom (39) and the United States (18) leading the list.
