Abstract
An implementation of a 1550 nm interferometric scheme is presented for quantum cryptography, a so called 'plug-and-play' system, which is very insensitive to external perturbations. The results showed a high visibility of the interfering pulses for fiber distances of 4, 10, and 20 km. The system was also very stable with time and showed little disturbance to external perturbations.
