Abstract
The research contained in this monographic section analyzes different aspects of the responses and impacts of COVID-19 in Latin American and Spanish cities. Using diverse methodologies and sources, the common thread is to identify the scenarios that the pandemic produced in these cities, what impacts it had on the behavior of the inhabitants, on their forms of governance, on institutional capacities (or their absence) and on the responses that their citizens built.
