Abstract
The growing versatility of reconstructive procedures is increasingly allowing surgeons to restore function and improve aesthetic appearances for a wide variety of lower urinary tract and genital anomalies. Adherence to basic surgical principles and continuing refinements of established techniques are likely to offer major improvements in quality of life for the individuals concerned.
