Abstract
An introduction to quantum communication from quantum encryption to teleportation was presented. Transmission of information on quantum states, quantum bits and entangled states were discussed. Single-photon generation, detection, photonic quantum gates and protocols for quantum cryptography and teleportation were also presented.
