Abstract

AnnotationQueryLocal provides a suite of functions to query Natural Language Processing annotations (such as sentence breaks, Part of Speech tags, Named entities, etc) that have been created for a set of documents using text analysis tools like Stanford Core NLP, spaCy, GENIA, etc. The functions can be composed, so that annotations can be located, selected if they appear before, after, within, or surrounding other annotations, etc. AnnotationQueryLocal provides a suite of composable functions to query annotations stored as an Array. While the annotations will typically be generated by popular text analytic tools such as Stanford Core or Genia, the only requirement is the annotations adhere to the AQAnnotation structure.
